RIP Freddy Sez!

The Yankees and the Rangers are in the middle of the ALCS... actually I am watching game 3 as I write this. This series is difficult for me because as long as I can remember, Dad and I have been cheering for the Yankees. Before I even knew where the Bronx was, I was going to games at the Ballpark in Arlington... so my two favorite teams are duking it out for the pennant and I am completely torn. On the one hand, it would be great for the Rangers to make it to the World Series for the first time ever.

On the other hand, it would be awesome for the Yanks to win it for the Boss and Freddy Sez, who both passed away this year. Freddy Sez was the most loyal Yankee fan and he passed away this past Sunday. Dad says he hopes that game against the Rangers on Saturday didn't send him to the grave...

In 2007, I attended a game at Yankees stadium with my Dad. It was his first trip to the House that Ruth built and it was an incredible experience for all of us... except for Bub, who was enduring FOW at A&M while we hung out in NYC!

During the sweep of the Boston Red Sox, we had seats next to Freddy Sez and we got to see him in action. When the Yanks were behind, he'd get out his frying pan and wooden spoon and get the whole section cheering along with him.

Like Dad says, let's win number 28 for Freddy Sez!!!
