Like many of you, I am a HUGE fan of the Pioneer Woman. Where else on the web can I read stories of someone's every day life that so closely echo those of my childhood?!My dad is a large animal veterinarian and I grew up working cows with him on our family's ranch as well as many ranches in our area... I've given shots to more cows than I can count and I have seen and smelled things that can make even the strongest stomach turn! I count myself very blessed to have grown up with an appreciation for agriculture; so many people have no idea the work that goes into everything they eat and wear.
Before I get on my soapbox... let's get back to PW! I think Ree Drummond is incredible. I am so excited that she announced a new spring tour and that she'll be coming to the DC area! My friends and I will be anxiously waiting to shake her hand, give her a big hug, and let her know just how much we love her country-life photos, crazy stories and her incredible recipes!
Maybe we'll have a PW potluck to mark the occasion!
