Walkin in a winter wonderland...

As you probably know, the east coast has been experiencing the snowiest winter to date... they've measured over 59 inches this winter! This past week has been quite the SnowPocalypse! The Federal Government closed on noon Friday and hasn't been open since. That's crazy!

On Friday after work, I went to my friend Sam's house for a sleepover! We thought it would be way more fun to drink wine and watch movies together rather than be snowed in at home alone! Whitney came to join us when she got off work and we made chili, ate brownies, and played the Dirty Dancing board game! We ventured to Amy and Ray's house on Saturday to hang out with them... I fell asleep on the couch after playing catch phrase. Yes, I am sometimes a lame-o.

After learning what it's like to dig a car out of the snow, we made it back to Arlington on Sunday before the next blizzard hit! I've been snowed in my apartment since then. We've only ventured out by foot a few times to get more groceries and go out to eat so we don't go stir crazy! I've been reading a lot and watching a lot of movies since there's only so much work I can do from home. I did get talked into going to work a few hours on Tuesday so we could do some stuff for my upcoming Gov't Affairs Conference.

Last night we ventured out to Clarendon for trivia night at the Clarendon Grille. Although our team didn't win, we had a great time answering crazy questions like "What country did dictators Papa Doc and Baby Doc rule?" The answer was Haiti... we were convinced that it was some Asian country.

Here are some photos of our snowy adventures!!Sam's shrub is a little taller now...

Whit and I take a break from shoveling to enjoy a cold brew!

On our way to Amy and Ray's house to play catch phrase and drink wine on Saturday night!

  1. I have been thinking about you all week having heard about the blizzard up there! As you know we are having a big snow day too, but not quite like yours! How great for you to get to experience that! Hope you are staying warm!
