Flashback Friday... dedicated to my Lindsay Brooke!

Since I will be in Dallas this Friday for my dear friend Lindsay's wedding, I thought I would get a head start on this flashback post!

Lindsay Brooke and I have been great friends since we were very young. Her grandmother Rosemary and my grandmother Patricia were best friends, our parents are friends, and we have created lots of memories together over the years. I am so honored to be a part of her big day.

We've been through it all together... being in the same classes from first grade on-- we've experienced Mrs. Rogers threatening to hang Doug Beaty by his ears to Mr. Edwards making us write essays for talking too much in class! Our sophomore year, we almost set the house on fire with our flaming nachos and our senior year we learned that it's always best to look behind you when backing the Jeep out of the Everett's driveway!

Through college it was always Lindsay and a few others that I couldn't wait to hang out with when I got back for Christmas break... we did the wedding tour together and learned it was never acceptable to serve certain things at your wedding reception! :)

When I moved to DC, Lindsay was the one who always wanted to come see me... and when she and Shalie made their way up here, we almost froze to death at the Virginia Gold Cup races! Thank goodness my friend Amanda brought a jacket-- we shared that little coat all day! The sun came out on our last day in DC and we almost hit Patrick Dempsey when we were backing the car out of Mt. Vernon (maybe the real lesson here is that I shouldn't back a car!)

I knew Luke was the one when he called me after the tu game last year to give me a hard time about the Aggies' dissappointing loss... even though I despise his choice in college football teams, they are a perfect match and I couldn't be happier to be joining them on Saturday to celebrate their marriage!

Happy almost wedding day Lindsay and Luke! I know you two will make each other happy for the rest of your lives!
